God - The Creator

Do not think you are the creator. The reason for tensions in life is this habit of saying " I did this, I donated, I have spread the religion, I prayed etc. there is no dearth of I's, it is never ending. We are gheraod by lakhs of "I" . Every step you become the maker, you put the stamp of I and carry this burden. Then you feel uncomfortable, you are wreathed in pain, there is no sleep, no peace, no hunger or thirst because of this burden.

Then you scream, shout that you are under stress, worries and pressure. Your life becomes miserable. You search here and there for some manta-tanta, some religious place, some prayer to soothe yourself and to get relief from this stressful life.

You yourself are responsible for this as you have carried the burden of "I am the maker". Whenever you want you can throw this burden and feel at ease. You are not the creator or maker. You are not the Lord. Who has created this universe, let him be the maker. Let him be the Lord. Why do you interfere in his creations and try to take his place. What is in your hands? Nothing. When your birth and death are determined by him, when you cannot breathe and walk a step also without his support, How can you decide that you are the creator? For what reason you say that "I did it" ? Think.

Happiness and Satisfaction

There is only one way to be happy and satisfied - Whatever you have now, feel happy with that at least, others do not have that to. Those who are intelligent, steady and patient, they know the truth of life is to enjoy and be happy with whatever is gifted to you by the Almighty.

Just try out this simple experiment. Many things can be learnt and experienced by experiments.
Just count on whatever you have, think that you are satisfied with it. Immediately you feel the sense of fulfillment, a feeling of happiness. You will find drastic changes in you, your mind will be free of tensions, worries, jealousy. Suddenly you will feel that darkness has gone from your life. Sun's rays are shinning on you, birds are chirping and there is a stream of happiness within you and your outside world as well.

Cultivate the habit of Satisfaction

Whatever God has showered on you like money status, special quality etc., try to make good use of it, enjoy it.

Utilizing whatever is with us means to first see it, check it, understand and analyse it, also feel it and then realize that what you have today is because of him. Atleast thank him for whatever is there today. But our desires don't end here, we always crave for more.

First ten thousand, then ten lakhs, ten crores, half of earth's property, then you want to be owner of this earth, more and more. This way one day you will drown with this burden of desires and wishes and die in the river of death.

Man's lust is never fulfilled. He is finished but not the desires. Man says I am not happy with what I am and what I have. I want to become something more. This want never ends. This is the habit in man that whatever he has, he thinks it as a waste and whatever we do not have have we go forward to grab that also. In the end there is no peace and no contentment.

Jo Teri Marzi (Whatever You Wish)

When there is sorrow or sadness in your life, there is a feeling of bitterness, there are problems.
A true disciple cries in front of God. This is the right thing to do to cry in front of God. Crying in front of others, who are already sad and unhappy will not make any sense because they will unburden their tales of sorrow.

If you cry without any inhibitions, with due respect to God in his lap, then you have learnt to pray. Your burden of sadness becomes light, all bitterness, hated, malice, problems all are washed out.

Then slowly, slowly a time comes, we cry in front of God but tears that drip from eyes are not of feeling of sadness, there is no stiffness. Tears are a symbol of Peace. Then we are calm and quiet and we agree with God and say " Jo teri Marzi, . There no complaints, only prayer and you leave everything to God and close your eyes. You are not bothered about any loss or profit. You say I am now holding your hand like a small child who holds his father's hand and walks free. Let father be worried, but the child is happy. singing any moving with his father in the crowd. He is free now, least bothered with no worries. Father is with me, there is no need to worry. You are mine.

True Peace

You have money but not attentiveness, no peace. You have high status but no respect. You have Gold but not God.

Without Peace and attentiveness, without respect and without God everything is waste, it is like dirt.

True property is Peace which you cannot afford to lose. Once you achieve it, it is always yours. Nobody can snatch and steal your peace.

Peace from within and peace outside as well is your ornament. Even death dare not snatch it from you. Neither fire, nor water can destroy it. No weapons can kill it. Real money or property is this peace. Rest of the things are false.

Do not live in dreams. Do not be under the illusion that you have achieved everything on this earth. If you have no peace, your condition is like a beggar all the time begging and wanting more and more.

If you accept this fact that I have nothing, I am empty, then your march towards Peace will start. You can become God of Peace.

Soft Heart

Cleanliness of Heart means softness of your feelings. It is neither harsh, neither cruel neither egoistic nor full of hatred.

Heart should be pure like River Ganga where your feeling of love abides. Become like a blank paper in your heart. Tell truth to your heart atleast, do not hide. If you are hiding things or feelings from your heart, means your heart is hard like a hard nut, difficult to crack. It is not pure, gentle and clean. There is all dirt accumulated in it.

Heart should be like a mirror. Love will not stay long in your heart if there is no purity in it. Without love life is rustic, like a mirror which is hazy. Life is waste, meaningless without love. Life becomes like a lamp without light, like a dried river, a desert and full of diseases. There are ruins only and death, only heartbeats can be felt.

Life revolves round love which makes you feel like as though a deserted place is filled and decorated with green plants, chirping of birds and beautiful scenery. There is fragrance of flowers. The atmosphere is pleasant, full of music and dance.

Language - Talk Sweet

Language is more piercing than an arrow. Sharp, pinching words should not be used while talking. Wound from a sword or an arrow can be healed but wounds given by words, your language, cannot be healed. Think and understand before talking. Talk sensibly. While talking think what would be consequences or results of the words used.

Your style of talking should be sweet, polite like a nectar. You don't have to give or spend anything while talking. Your polite way of talking can mesmerize. Do not use foul language as it may hurt somebody. It is worst than a poison.

Keep Firm Belief

All our worries are self created. The man whose mind is weak will never be free from worries. Do not worry. Keep calm and your mind strong.

Sit under shelter of any saint, a Guru or a trustworthy person whose views and ideas agree with yours. Whenever you have strong belief, remain firm Do not get carried away by weak minded people who carry dirt and unwanted ideas. You will get lost in unnecessary superstitions and fall prey to them.

Have full faith in Almighty. He will never harm you because He is an unseen power felt from within.

Remember

Maintain your personality and self respect intact. Keep your dignity alive.
But
Do not get egoistic and elated towards your achievements, your success, your strength, your beauty and intellect.
Accept
These qualities in you as God's gift, his blessings, his prasad.
Never feel proud or get lost in your achievements. but still, do not lose your self respect and self confidence.
Be little mild and kind. Do service to others. To a certain limit your good qualities are like beautiful ornaments worn over your soul. But once you cross the limit these same qualities become a burden, it stinks.
Think and ponder over your thoughts and action, where do they land you.
God is with you, Always with you.

Pay Attention

Remember Wrong or bad surrounding/environment ruins one's own personality and originality. One's souls is hurt. Man loses his own identity.

Surrounding has a very deep impact on your mind. A bad company leaves deep scar in your mind. Person feels wounded, guilty and is filled with inferiority complex. Specially people who are gentle and good natured, soft hearted, get affected more.

Best way is to keep away from bad company as it affects your conscience. The guilt feeling from the bad environment is deadlier than a major disease. It makes your body weak, kills your soul.
This can happen anywhere and with anybody.

So always be attentive and keep thorough watch or vigil on the people you are surrounded with.

Time is precious

Good jobs should be done instantly, that very minute. Bad work should be postponed, as far as possible avoid it

Those who respect Time, Time respects them.
Those who vile away their time, waste their time and opportunity, are losers.

Take care of your precious time, Health and Wealth. Do not lose them. Later on you may regret.

Try It

Learn to listen a little
Learn to smell a little
Learn to talk less
Learn to think a little

Keep your senses clean and clear. Keep them mild and pious.
Then watch. Everywhere you will find God. Everywhere you feel his essence.
Everywhere you will get his sigh. Every sphere of life you will get his indications.

Just try a little. There is no harm

Hatred : No place in Friendship

There were two good old friends, Gopal and Govind. Gopal had a unique habit of writing things on sand, wall anywhere instantly.

Once these two friends were walking alongside the beach and discussing something. Suddenly the discussion landed up in heated arguments. Govind wanted to stress his point but Gopal would disagree. In a fit of anger Govind slapped Gopal. Gopal was stunned by this behaviour of his friend. He did not react but instantly wrote with his finger on the sand that"Today Govind slapped me" They walked further quietly not talking to each other.

After walking together for quite sometime a little further there was an open ground full of water.
Gopal did not notice and slipped on it. Govind immediately rushed to pick up his friend. He lifted him up, cleaned him and hugged him. Seeing sudden change in his friend, he saw a stone and quickly wrote down in bold letters "today Govind helped me, he cleaned me"

Govind was surprised and found it very funny. He asked Gopal "When I slapped you, you wrote on the sand and when I helped and cleaned you, you wrote on the stone. What is the reason?:

Gopal smiled and replied "Oh! dear friend, I want to forget the bad experiences so that they get washed away in sand, but your good deeds I do not want to forget so I wrote it on stone"

This is true and lasting friendship. We should not breed feeling of hatred towards our friend at least. Nurture the good moments spent with your friend so that we find a true and lasting relation to rely on.

Are we doing it? Let's be honest about this.

Friend in Need

Be careful during the period when you are depressed, feel mentally weak, feel fearful and sad. You are filled with the feeling of guilt, sorrow, inferiority complex, you lose self confidence and self respect. You shrink from within and feel helpless with no strength in you. That phase of time if you do not keep awake, keep your self respect and confidence intact, then you are in a real trouble. You are sure to face loss. There are chances of developing physical and mental illnesses, you may go under severe depression, under abnormality.

This very time you need and a Sadguru, a very confident and trustworthy friend, who would listen to you, would inspire you and would boost your morale and self respect. A true and beloved friend who would always count on your talents, your good things and stand by you during your hard times. A person who would breed and shower love upon your dried sources of energy.

Alas! you may break totally, your personality may get totally deteriorated. You may catch all sorts of ailments. Search for a true and trustworthy friend now. Nurture that friendship. Do not hesitate and do not wait for the crises to happen. Control them now and do not let your ego be barrier between you and you true friend.

Shanti and Ashanti

In your life if there is Ashanti, then do not blame anybody. Then just ponder over it and think that something is going wrong. Are you going out of the laws of nature? Are you going away from a thing or a condition? Just check. Keep a watch. Look back. Ashanti is an indication, a red signal. Ashanti is our friend, our helper. It tells us that something a miss, something is going wrong. It alerts us that we are going out of our way. Find your way, your path.

Whenever there is no peace in life, just look back and think. Think about the incidences that have disturbed your peace. Definitely you have treaded on a wrong path. That is why you are away from Shanti (Peace).

Just wake up a little, open your eyes. Shanti(Peace) is your nature, it is your birth right. It is your way of living. You have deviated from peace due to your own fault. Peace is in you. Grab it.

Perfectionist and Ego

A sculptor who used to make beautiful statues was a disciple of a saint (A Mahatma). He was a perfect sculptor and the statues he designed and constructed would look real. As though some real person is standing. Nobody in that field was so perfect, they could not pin point any mistake in his work. He was so apt in that art that it would be impossible for anyone to differentiate between the statue and the real man. The Mahatma was very pleased with his work and dedication.

Once he told the Mahatma “since I have worked sincerely for you so many years, can you fulfill my one wish at least”. The Mahatma agreed and asked him about the wish. He said that he should at least know in advance the date, day and time of his death so that I will not allow death to come near me. The Mahatma granted his request.

Before the time of arrival of his death, he designed and built twelve statues of himself, exactly like him. There was no fault, they were perfect. When he knew his time has come, he hid behind one of the statues so that he could dodge God of Death(The Yamaha).

When Yamaha(God of Death) came, he was shocked to see twelve statues exactly the same. He was confused which one to take. Yamaha immediately rushed to the Lord, the Creator. Lord smiled and whispered something in his ears. The Yamaha laughed and the God also laughed.

Then Yamaha went and stood in front of those statues and said “ Oh! How beautiful are these statues, so well and perfectly designed. Lord Brahma, who created the universe, could not make it equally good. Nobody on this earth can beat this marvelous work of art, not even in future. But I feel there is a slight defect in one of the statues. Hearing this the sculptor immediately came out and asked “Where is the mistake”

Yamaha caught hold of his neck and said “This is the mistake. If you had kept quiet and would not come out, you could have won over death. But no, “I” cannot make mistakes. I am perfect. That I has brought me near you. Now all is over”.

This is not a story, it is a lesson we should all learn. If somebody boasts our ego, praises us to skies, we get bloated and trapped. Do not get involved and entangled in unnecessary praises and criticism. Within your heart of hearts you know where you stand. So be firm and do not let others hover over you. MOST IMPORTANT : DO NOT BE EGOISTIC. ACCEPT YOUR WEAKNESSES AND MISTAKES

Prayer

The way you pray is not the right way. Prayer should be deep from within. While praying forget what you are. You are neither man nor woman, rich nor poor, child nor adult, ugly nor beautiful, idiot nor intelligent, big nor small, you are neither Hindu, nor Muslim, nor Sikh, nor christian. That time you are not 'I'.
Just get immersed, get drowned in your prayers and forget everything. That minute only God, the Creator should be felt in each breath of yours, in each and every nerve of yours. You become God. Then you know to pray, your prayer is complete.

Only by bowing your head is not a prayer, bow your Self and totally surrender to the Almighty. This is the True Prayer. It is from the heart's content.

Life is in your Hands

Your life is in your hands. It is upto you to decide which direction would you like to mould it.
There is no restriction. You can live a life of a king or a pauper. of a rich man or a poor man, a saint or a fool. All is in your mind. To whom are fooling. You know in your mind, deep within you, where you stand. To whom are you fooling. You are responsible for your destiny as you have built it.

Do not know whether without thinking, either consciously or unconsciously, you have chosen your path. If you want, within seconds you can change your life style because all that you are living now is built by you. Make an effort, have some courage, a strong will power to take correct decisions to
bring changes in your life.

Make life beautiful, easy, melodious and beautiful. Make it enjoyable. Make your aim to live for self and for others.

Jeevan Veena

Based on Swamiji’s book Jeevan Veena

1.

Gautam Budh once said “if the strings of veena are loose, it cannot produce music and if the strings are tight then too there will be no music. Music can only heard when the strings are neither too loose nor too tight. There is a center point.” A good musician would always check the strings of the instrument before composing any music. This is the rule of veena.

Then Jeevan(Life) Veena has also the same rule.

Where is this Jeevan Veena?

Human body itself is jeevan veena. There are certain strings in man’s body which should neither be too rigid nor too loose. There should be balance. Then only you can enjoy the bliss of the music of life. Knowing music is like knowing your own soul. Then if you know that there is music in all living beings, then you know God.

Man’s mind is always wondering in the extremes, from one extreme to another, but he is never in the middle i.e. the center. As like clock’s pendulum moves about from one end to another, Man’s mind also jumps from one decision to another, never stops in middle.

At one time the body goes from one extreme of materialistic gains. If not satisfied with this extreme, he moves to attain the extremes of spirituality. Like doing tapasya, gyan, fastings in extremes, endlessly. Then gets frustrated and irritated, never peaceful. Remain in the center, middle path. Stop at center point and balance life in the right way.

The beautiful music from life can only be heard and enjoyed and composed by this law of jeevan veena( A balanced life).

2. Art of Living

Smile and bloom like a flower spreading your fragrance of love.

Dance like a river stream showering happiness in your surroundings.

Shine like sun giving light with rays of hope

Always keep smiling, keep laughing and be happy.

Do not give a grumpy or sad look.

Sit erect, do not stop low.

Do not bring feeling of inferiority in your mind.

No pity or sympathy from others.

Always remember you are God’s child. You are his prince/princess.

Dreams

There was a Mahatma who had three disciples. He would train them for spiritual knowledge.

Once he called his first student(disciple) and told him that last night he saw a frightening and funny dream. In his dream he felt that he was perspiring very badly, he whole body went numb, he was feeling breathless and some sort of shivering and nervousness. He requested his student to analyse the dream. Can you give me an explanation to this type of dream?

The first student politely went and brought a bucketful of warm water and said “You are still in a sleepy mood, please take a warm water bath, you may feel better and would wake up. The Mahatma made him sit at one side.

Then he called the second student and narrated the same dream to him and asked him to analyse the dream and give an explanation to it. The second student politely said “Sir, after taking warm water you are still feeling drowsy, I would get you a hot cup of tea”. The Mahatma made him sit besides the first student.

Finally he called his third student and told him to analyse the same dream which he had said to his first two students. The third student got excited and said “Oh, I have many books on dream analysis, I will read and let you know the meaning of it.

The Guru(Mahatma) stopped him said “You have still not matured, Are the dreams true?, Can you give an explanation to your dreams?. Please wake up, How long will you remain in dreams and rely on book knowledge. I was testing you to see how much have you learnt.

Live in Reality and do your routine work systematically without being disturbed by dreams or imaginary things.

Do Not Blame Destiny

It is foolish to blame Destiny. If we are unable to achieve any task, we blame it on our Destiny. By saying so we are fooling ourselves, trying to cover our shortcomings or weaknesses and trying to console our mind that it was /was not in my luck. But think that your destiny is determined by you, by your own good or evil deeds and thoughts. Every second whatever you think or do(karma), adds to your destiny. So the fruit or result of your deeds have to borne by you only. Nobody else is responsible

God is our friend, he abides in our conscience. Every second he indicates through red and green signal and reminds us for whatever good or bad things we do. But we are not ready to pay heed to our conscience where our Lord stays. We suppress it and continue to do wrong. Then who is responsible for this?

You have nurtured your own destiny. God is not devil or our enemy to give us unhappiness. We are his children. He will always guide his children towards right track. But we are so involved in this materialistic world and engrossed in all sorts of egos, greed, anger, possessiveness that adds to the chain of our destiny. We have forgotten our own father. If we have done good, our destiny will also be good.

Therefore, stop blaming God, Destiny or Luck. Do not get illusion by this. Still it is not too late. Take Destiny in your stride, Act Now. Do not hesitate to take risk, do not be afraid of death. With your strong will power tread on the right, true path and be faithful/honest to yourself at least and then work hard to achieve your Goal.

We are not independent still we are slave of our Destiny. We have given the reigns of our destiny in others hand. March ahead, hold the strings of luck/Destiny tight in your hand and drive independently towards your task.

God is our true friend. Our father. He cannot and does not want us to feel sad or unhappy.

Smile and laugh at your follies. In the Bhagwat Gita, Lord Krishna has repeatedly reminded us that Soul is Immortal(Atma Amar Hai). We still live with the fear of death and fear of losing our near and dear once. But that is universal. We cannot escape that. Accept the reality and live fearlessly by surrendering to the Almighty.

The Importance of a Guru

Although we all believe that God is greatest. But we cannot see God. If we find a right Guru, he will show us the way towards God. We can share our feelings and thoughts with our Guru. We can question him. If he is not able to solve my queries, he is not the true Guru.

Everybody has access towards book knowledge, but that is one sided. We interpret things based on our previous experiences or as per our convenience and our level of intelligence or understanding. Then the knowledge gained or read is in one direction.

When this knowledge or books we have read is discussed and shared with our Guru, we achieve more widespread knowledge. Guru being more senior and experienced, can change our biased knowledge and attitude. He imparts balanced and impartial knowledge. He enhances and enlightens us to the path where God abides. He helps to take right decisions in our daily life. Guru is like torch.

End and Beginning

The End and Beginning of each living being on this Earth is same. It is only the middle phase which we claim to be ours or Mine. Dedicate this middle life to him and thank him for whatever he has given us(a healthy body, healthy mind and healthy soul). Work hard and achieve the right goal. Do not waste this opportunity. This I (Ego) cannot do anything without the support of his (God's) EYE

EGO, THE DEADLIEST ENEMY

As far as possible we should keep away or minimise our Ego and have full faith in Almighty, our God. Surrender all your good/bad, happy/unhappy deeds to him. Do not Doubt.

A story.

There were two very good childhood friends. When they grew big, one friend became a tapasvi(Saint) and would stay alone in mountain areas to do his prayers and tapasaya. The other friend became very rich like a King and would stay in his palatial house. The tapasvi would wear only a langoti and the rich friend was living a lavish life.

Once the rich friend desired to search for his friend who had opted to live a life of a Saint. He felt restless and would search for him every nook and corner. Finally he located his friend, went to meet him and felt very proud that his friend has achieved so much knowledge in short period. He has become a tapasvi. He went to his ashram and requested him to have lunch in his house. The tapasvi friend agreed to visit his house and have lunch with him.

The rich friend was very happy and made beautiful arrangement and decorations to receive his dear friend. He spread costly carpets so that his friend is not hurt.

When the sanyasi friend reached his rich friend’s house he was amused and surprised to see the beautiful arrangements made to greet him. When he reached at the main door, then a person at the gate told him “See, your friend has intentionally made this arrangement to make you feel low. He wants to prove you that how much he has attained in life and you are nothing. Hearing that the Saint got very angry and his EGO reached the peaks, he felt hurt. He thought that he was such a big Saint and my friend wants compare his riches with the knowledge I have gained. He went to a nearby nullah(dirty drainage), dirtied his feet in it and then went to his friend’s house. He spoilt the beautiful carpet with his dirty feet.

The rich friend when greeted his friend was surprised and angry to see all this and shouted at his servants to know who had spoilt his carpet. At this, the tapasvi friend said that “I have spoilt your carpet to show that I have gained more than you. You have achieved only money, but I have got spiritual knowledge, I am a Saint, a gyani, a tapasvi. His ego knew no bounds.

The rich friend was stunned and replied very politely and apologetically “ Oh, dear friend after sacrificing all worldly and materialistic things, being a Saint, a gyani, your EGO is still intact, it has not gone down. I used to respect you, honour you, used to feel jealous of your achievements, but now I feel very sad that there is no difference between you and me. I have an ego for money and you have an ego for sainthood, your gyan and tapasya. You have lost all that you have achieved.

Do not get carried by your Ego. You have gained money, knowledge and whatever is good in you through God’s blessings. That I is your deadliest enemy. If by chance, we meet with an accident, or any serious illness, all that we gain becomes meaningless. Just pray and thank God whatever he has bestowed upon us. Had not given you sound and healthy body, mind and soul, you could not achieve anything on this Earth. Do not feel jealous or get angry at what others have. Work hard and do your usual chores honestly. You will be paid back in abundance for all that good work you do.

Prayer, a simple way to reach God

Always pray to God with the true feelings, from your heart's content and not by copying others prayers. Make your own prayer straight from your heart.

Early morning one man reads newspaper and another man reads religious books like Geeta, Bible, Koran etc. But due to some reason both of them are not able to read their usual newspaper or religious book. They become restless and irritant because this habit has become their normal routine.

If we want we can read and enjoy religious books without any rule, without any routine, in a natural and relaxed way, without getting irritated. Newspaper we read and keep it somewhere but religious book should be preached and understood for our good and kept in a special place in our house because God is not a waste. It has to looked with reverence. Is'nt there a vast difference between a newspaper reading and reading a religious book.

Our faith and feeling towards God should be spontaneous and simple and not time bound. It has to be from within where no one can see what you doing, no one can copy your prayer. You just concentrate on your prayers and do not get disturbed.

Need of A Guru

Why do we need a Guru?

To learn any subject or any topic we need a teacher. To become an engineer, a doctor, a teacher or a businessman etc., we need somebody experienced in that field to guide and explain us in that particular field of our interest. Same way to gain spiritual knowledge, we need a Saint or a Guru to give satisfaction and peace to our mind. If our mind is disturbed it will be difficult to achieve our goal. Guru can only lead us to right direction and provide peace to our mind and soul.

The right Guru is one in whose company you feel calm, relaxed and poised. But if your mind does not agrree to that company, you feel some sort of uneasiness, cannot concentrate, your queries are not answered upto your satisfaction, then do not continue with that relationship.

Wednesday 17 October, 2007

Discussion and Argument

Discussions are from the Hearts feeling. There is love, it is spontaneous and natural.
Argument is from our Intelligence. There is logic and ego. There is stiffness of mind and Ashanti(no peace).

Discussions, there is love and understanding, but, Arguments lead us to hatred and uneasiness.

That is why Heart is more important than Intelligence. Discussions have respect and Arguments have Doubts. In discussion both the parties win whereas in Argument none win, both lose.

Food for Soul

We eat good and healthy food to provide fuel and energy to our body so that it is free from diseases and remains strong.

Similar is the case with our soul. The soul also requires healthy food. Food for soul is love and knowledge. When our soul is deprived of love and knowledge it becomes weak and it shrinks.
To keep it healthy we should share knowledge and love with each other.

Man goes into depression because he does not want to share his feelings with another person.
There are various conflicting thoughts hovering around his mind like honey bees. They are continuously buzzing like a bee and he cannot escape from them.

To get solace from these uninterrupted, unwanted thoughts, we either visit religious shrines
or go into depression.

But, if, by grace of God, we come in contact with a right person , like our Guru or teacher, a friend, a relative or neighbour, whom we can trust, we can share our feelings with them, then only we get relief from the thoughts that make us sick, make our soul also weak.

So give healthy food to your thoughts and soul with food of love and knowledge.

Monday 15 October, 2007

Balanced Life

Always lead a balanced life. Do not go into extremes. Every work or job should weighted in a balanced way as though you are weighing it in a weighing machine. Any work should be performed in a relaxed way, balanced and equally dedicated to the Almighty, Our Creator. There will, then be no tensions in our life. Like if you pray, do not pray too much, it makes you feel irritant or if you doing household or any other work do not get too much involved in it. It will make you feel angry, boring or irritant. If, for any reason, you forgot to pray or could not perform your routine work, do not feel guilty as you know for some genuine reason it could not be done. Be balanced and relaxed and normal. This balanced life will only give you peace and happiness or else in extremes you might break and go into depression.

Saturday 13 October, 2007

Knowledge

If a pot is kept on the reverse position, it cannot collect water. If it kept straight and there is hole in it then too water will not remain in the pot, it will drain out from the hole. And if the pot is kept straight, there is no hole in it, but it not cleaned regularly, it will collect water but it will be full of dirt and moss, not edible to drink.

Same is the case with knowledge. If knowledge is imparted upon a right and true person, it will be successful because it will bloom like a flower spreading its fragrance everywhere.

What is Dhyan or Concentration?

While in group or amongst our near and dear ones, we can control our anger and judge that due to some topic or at somebody’s instigation we are getting angry, then control that feeling. If that minute you control your emotions and know the reason for anger, that is true dhyan. Dhyan or Attentiveness means my mind is under my control. It means lifting yourself to higher goals and relaxing.. When you are relaxed you can make correct judgement and attain your goal

Always remain calm and relaxed under any circumstances like Lord Krishna, like a flute in your mind.

Friendship

If you want to maintain true and lasting friendship, keep three things in mind

  1. Do not discuss or argue too much with your friend. Appreciate their good deed.
  2. Never exchange money, like borrowing and lending.
  3. Do not talk for a long time with your friend’s spouse it may lead to unnecessary suspicion.

Friday 12 October, 2007

Hatred or Jealousy

As far as possible never breed feeling of Hatred. Hatred or jealousy is like a fire. It will first burn from within from where it originated. The heart which is full of hatred and malice will never find peace and solace. God cannot stay there as there is no place for him.

God abides in the heart which has peace and love. God stays in cool places. Lord Vishnu abides in Shirsagar, Lord Shiva in Himalayas and Lord Brhma in Lotus.

Faith and Doubt

There are two ways to lead your life 1. FAITH 2. DOUBT
Which life are we living ? Life full of Doubts has sorrow, hatred, pain and unhappiness, whereas
Life full of Faith and respect brings cheerfulness, peace and satisfaction.

Doubt lasts longer but never reaches its destination. Faith need not walk, it reaches.

Truth, Peace and God can be achieved through Faith. We cannot live in peace nor can we achieve anything with fear of Doubt.

So it is wise to live a life full of Faith.

Repentence

Never in your life do such things for which you repent later. You regret, cry, tiers drip from your eyes and you say "Oh ! IF I had not done that"

Life : An Opportunity

Life is an opportunity, a Chance bestowed on us by the Almighty.
If you want you can collect dirt, mud in it or if you want you can collect good things. Either
make it poisonous or make it into holy water. Make it Hell or Heaven.

This is a Golden Opportunity. Every single minute is valuable and we have to keep
a vigil and count on what are earning or collecting. Do not miss this Chance.

Heaven and Hell

Once early morning a King went to a Saint's ashram and asked him "what is HELL ? and What is HEAVEN?

The Saint smiled and requested him to sit but he did not listen to him and wanted the answer immediately.

The Saint said"Look at your face it is so dirty, there are flies on it, it is so ugly, you are stinking, your body is so horrible". The King got very wild and angry. He immediately removed his sword from the dagger and was about to kill the Saint.
The Saint calmly but firmly told him to STOP and said, YOU ARE NOW IN HELL.
The King realized his mistake and knelt on his feet with tears in his eyes. He apologized and begged him sorry. The Saint politely lifted him up and said "NOW YOU ARE IN HEAVEN"

Swamiji's Views # 2

Our mind is never in the Present. Either it is wandering in the past thoughts or lives in future
and in imagination. The mind's being in the Present is called "Dhyan" Attentiveness. It is like a Prayer.

Swamiji's Views #1

No work or job is good or bad, small or big, pure or impure. Good or bad, small or big, pure or impure is our attitude or feelings towards it. Please keep your feeling and thoughts clean and pure.
